James Birch "Jamie" Teer passed away January 24, 2017 at his home in Mexia, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 50. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Dale McDaniel officiating. James was born April 8, 1966 in Mexia, Texas to Jodie and Thelma Lavette McElroy Teer, youngest of four children. In 1997, he moved back to Mexia to take care of his parents, after his dad had a stroke. James married his loving wife, Jovonna Klepper in Shiloh, Texas on October 22, 2010. James enjoyed working at Wal-Mart, always making every effort in doing his job well, as in any job; having a good work ethic was important to him. He enjoyed playing dominos, watching Jeopardy and was a big Dallas Cowboy fan. He also loved trivia, history and geography. James family was most important to him, he was not only a devoted and loving son, husband, father and brother but was an uncle with a strong attachment to his nieces and nephews. James will truly be missed by his loving family. He is survived by his wife, Jovonna Teer of Mexia; daughter, Nichole Ivester of Tehuacana; sisters, Laura Teer of Burleson and Debi English of Mabank; brother, Rick Teer of Mexia; and a number of nieces and nephews.
