Funeral services for James Raymond "Tub" Watson, 66 of Mexia will be held Thursday, May 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church on N. Ross. Rev. Bill Thompson, Rev. Lewis Peoples, Jr. and Rev. Harvey Hallmark will officiate with interment to follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mr. Watson was born on November 25, 1941 in Mexia to J. M. "Dock" and Naomi (Dossey) Watson and passed away on May 19, 2008 in Mexia. He retired as a Mexia Police Officer. He is survived by his wife, Dolores of Mexia; son, James Watson and wife, Tiffany of Mexia; daughter, Lynda Cates and husband, Tim of Mexia; grandchildren, Zachery Watson, Patrick Cates, Kaylon Watson and Jarik Watson; sister, Frances Kyle and husband, Delbert of Mexia; brothers, Jerry Watson and wife, Kathy of Fairfield and Wayne "Hopper" Watson and wife, Paula of Corsicana. Pallbearers will be Manuel Bluitt, Chris Bluitt, Omar Bluitt, Theodoro Candanoza, Brian Kyle, Delbert Kyle, Jr., Jerry Watson, Jr. and Rodney Irvin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Richard Hawthorne, Mike Bell, Dennis Wilson and Steve Brewer.
