Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Larue Morton, 73 of Mexia will be 11 a.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel, Mexia. Interment will follow in Mexia Cemetery. Mrs. Morton was born on August 1, 1932 in Personville to Willie J. and Lee Baker Easterling and passed away on November 23 in a local nursing home. She was em- Ployed for several years at Mexia Cotton Mill, had a service station with her husband From 1970 to 1975 in Mexia, was homemaker and member of Northside Baptist Church. She had lived in this area all of her life. She is survived by her husband: Grady (Bo) Morton of Forest Glade; daughter and son In law: Wanda and Bill Lummus of Jewett; Son: Jack Morton of Mexia and son and Daughter in law: Tommy and Sharron Morton of Mexia; 5 grandchildren: Clint and Jason Morton; Jeana McLellan, Shawna Hamilton and Jeff Lummus: 10 great grand Children: Sister: Margie Jones of Groesbeck; two brothers: Orion Easterling of Dallas and Phillip Easterling of Mexia. Pallbearers will be Jeff Lummus, Jason Morton, Clint Morton, Kevin Morton, Steve Easterling, Phil Easterling, David Easterling and Brian Quaca.
