Jerald McHargue

Retired Lt. Col. Jerald Ray McHargue, 81, of Richland, formerly of Waco and Irving, passed away February 28, 2012 in Wortham, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia with Father Benji Magnaye and Rev. Rick Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Jerald was born November 30, 1930 in Waco, Texas to Robert Newton and Mary Thelma Fellers McHargue. He retired from the Air National Guard as Lt. Colonel after 37 years and also served five years in the civil air patrol. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Annelle Bruce. Jerald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathryn Sue; daughter, Denise Gay Gillentine of Mexia; sons, Paul Lynn McHargue and David Wayne McHargue and wife, Beverly Jean all of Richland; grandchildren, Matthew Lawrence Isabell of Mexia, Andrew Brantley McHargue of Irving, Crystal Renee Tucker and husband, Donnie of Kosse, Rebecca Leann McHargue of Mexia and Trevor James McHargue of Richland; and great-granddaughter, Bonnie Jo Tucker.
