Jo Ann Miller, formerly of Coolidge, passed away May 16, 2019 in Mexia at the age of 86. She was born October 14, 1932 in Ovilla, Texas to Roy Harvey and Georgia Mildred Pressnell Solomon. Jo Ann lived in Midlothian, prior to moving to Coolidge in 1972. She retired from the Mexia State School after 15 years of service.
Jo Ann was loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was very outgoing and always willing to help with any projects within the community, church or wherever needed. She enjoyed working the annual Lord's Acre Sale at the First United Methodist Church in Coolidge, where she was a longtime active member, as well as volunteering at the Coolidge Senior Citizens Center. Jo Ann's other pastime interest included bird watching, fishing, quilting, cooking, watching Texas Rangers Baseball and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Georgia Solomon; husband, Reagan W. Miller; brother, James R. Solomon; and sister, Elizabeth J. Fields.
Jo Ann is survived by her son, Mark E. Miller of Marquez; and sister, Pat Cramer of Ashland, MO.
Burial was held in the Midlothian Cemetery in Midlothian, Texas.
