Jo Ann Temples, 77, of Mexia passed away September 9, 2011 in Round Rock, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 11, 2011 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Brittain and Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7 PM, Saturday, at the funeral home. Jo Ann was born January 21, 1934 in Mexia, Texas to Jesse and Eunice Allen Cox. She was a graduate of Talco High School. She married Thomas "T.G." Temples, Jr. on July 19, 1952. Jo Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who spent her live caring for her family. Her love for the God and her family were evident in her life. She and T.G. enjoyed traveling and square dancing. They were members of the Bi-Stone Travelers and Barn Stoppers Square Dancing clubs. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mexia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Gene Cox and his wife, Martha. Jo Ann is survived by her husband of 59 years, T.G. of Mexia; daughters, Donna Carol Roberson and husband, Steve of Belen, NM and Tonna Carol Hamrick and husband, Ronald of Round Rock, TX; three grandchildren, Joel Hamrick, Stephenie Roberson and Rebecca Hamrick; one great-grandson, Colt Salas, Brother, Bobby Cox and wife Jane of Talco, TX. and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Steve Roberson, Ronald Hamrick, Jim Cox, J. R. Cox, Mike Cox and Billy Wade Barnard.
