Joe Wilkie

Joe Jackson Wilkie, 80, of Bayou Vista passed away March 16, 2013 at his home. Graveside services will be 1PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Thornton Cemetery in Thornton, Texas. Joe was born June 7, 1932 in the Prairie View Community, outside Thornton, Texas, to Joe Lee and Hattie Estelle Jackson Wilkie. He grew up in the Prairie View Community before moving to Houston. He was a longtime resident of Houston and Bayou Vista, where he worked as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Joe loved spending time with his family, jet skiing and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of BAPWA Jet Ski Club. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Billie Jean Darnell and Margie Dell Edwards. Joe is survived by his wife, Debby Richards of Bayou Vista; sons, Joe Earl Wilkie and wife, Debra of Houston and Jeffrey L. Wilkie and wife, Cynthia of Tomball; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
