John Bernis Fletcher

John Bernis Fletcher passed away February 27, 2025 in Temple, Texas at the age of 62. He was born October 28, 1962 in Glen Rose, Texas to John Harvey and Frances Irene (Patton) Fletcher.

Bernis grew up in Mexia, where he spent most of his life primarily working on the family’s ranch. Bernis was also a diesel mechanic and spent several years working in that field.

His favorite thing to do was to go fishing. He loved catching fish, then frying and eating them with his family and friends. Bernis also loved dogs and always had at least one.

Bernis is survived by his sister, Jan Arrington, and other family members and friends, several of which helped him so very much in the last years of his life. His cousin, Charlotte Becker and her husband, Hershel, also his cousin Michael Fletcher and his steadfast friend and caregiver Michael Tubbs gave Bernis so much love and support during the last years of his life.
