John Sanderson

John Peyton "Johnny" Sanderson passed away May 17, 2016 in Humble, Texas at the age of 55. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 21, 2016 in the Coolidge Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be at the cemetery and after the service in the home of Aline Sanderson. Pastor Shane Norcross of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Johnny had been a member of Calvary Baptist Church and had accepted Christ at an early age. Johnny was born on April 11, 1961 in Mexia to John J. and Aline Sanderson. He grew up in Mexia and was a graduate of Mexia High School. He enjoyed long haul truck driving and working in the oil related fields. He loved hunting, fishing, outdoor activities and had a great love for his dogs, over the years, who were his faithful companions. He was preceded in death by his father, John Sanderson and his infant son, John Peyton Sanderson, Jr. Johnny is survived by his Mother, Aline Sanderson of Mexia; Donald (Brother) and Sue Sanderson of Mexia, Richard Sanderson (Brother) of Irving, Brenda Ridge (Sister) and Charlie Morris of Mexia; Charlie Short of Humble, who was his employer and friend; Lori Cook (Niece) of Hartshorne, Ok, Tammy (Niece) and Blaine Schulte of Lorena, Jason (Nephew) and Angela Ridge of Rhome; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Donald Sanderson, Richard Sanderson, Charlie Morris, Charlie Short, Blaine Schulte and Darrell Spurlock.
