Jose Anjel Ramirez passed away October 24, 2018 in Mexia, Texas at the age of 37. Mass will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 28, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Benji Magnaye officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Jose Luis Ramirez, Pablo Ivan Ramirez, Raul Davila, Robert Hernandez, Joel Olivarez and Jace Lloyd will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation with the family will be 6:00-7:00 pm. and Rosary from 7:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral.

Jose Anjel was born, a twin, on July 14, 1981 in Mexia, Texas to Pablo and Maria Josefina Ibarra Ramirez. He graduated from Mexia High School, Class of 2000. He was a co-owner, with his brother, Pablo, of On My Way Trucking. Jose was in charge keeping the trucks maintained and operating.

Jose Anjel loved and was very proud of his family. He was the person they could depend on to help them in anyway; he was their "Rock" in their time of need. Jose Anjel was very giving of his time and even willing to give you his last dollar if you needed it. He always appreciated his caring parents. Jose Anjel knew he, too could count on his family, especially, his mother who was always looking out for him and trying to take care of him. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and, every year, he loved helping his mother get flowers for Virgen de Guadalupe; this was a special time for them to spend together.

Jose Anjel enjoyed traveling, going to sporting events and taking trips to visit family in Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Matiana Guerrero; Great grandparents, Edwardo Ibarra and Felicia Guevara.

Jose Anjel is survived by his loving parents, Pablo and Josefina Ramirez; brothers, Pablo Ivan and special friend, Renee Beldin and twin brother, Jose Luis; sister, Yocira Ramirez; special niece (like a daughter), Ashley Ivan Ramirez; nephew, Julian Jose Ramirez; niece, Ellie Kate Ramirez; special aunt, Silvia Rodriguez; maternal grandmother, Rafaela Ibarra Guevara; paternal grandfather, Arcadio Ramirez; loved by very special friend, Barbie; and numerous aunts, uncles and friends.
