Anita Joyce Hancock Nussbaum passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015. Joyce was born July 20, 1931 in Cedar Island, Texas to Emma and Raymond Hancock. Her family meant everything to her and she was well loved by her family. She loved to shop, play bridge and spend time with her friends. Joyce served her country in the Women's Army Corp. She joined after graduating from Mexia High School in 1948 and was honorably discharged in August of 1951. She married her high school sweetheart, Claude Nussbaum on August 8, 1951. She was preceded in death by her mother, Emma Taylor Hancock; her father, Raymond Hancock; her brothers, Raymond Don "Donny" Hancock and James Howard "Bubba" Hancock; and her daughter, Emily Nussbaum Holderman. Joyce is survived by her husband of 64 years, Claude Nussbaum; her daughter, Claudia Nussbaum Starnes and son-in-law, Ray, and their daughter, Katie Starnes Reading and her husband, Dr. David Reading; their daughters, Mary, Grace and Bailey Reading; her granddaughter, Jennifer Holderman Walters and husband, Rich, and their daughter, Brooklyn Walters. All who had the pleasure of know and loving Joyce will miss her generosity, her smile, her laugh and the love that she shared with absolutely everyone.
