Funeral services for Mrs. Jule Mixon Floyd, 77, of Tehuacana will be 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel, Mexia. Rev. Michael Redmond and Rev. Brad Brittain will officiate with interment following in the Tehuacana Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home. Mrs. Floyd was born May 21, 1929 in Mexia to W. A. and Stella Mixon Phillips and passed away on March 27, 2007 in a Waco hospital. She graduated high school and attended college for one year. She was a member of the Tehuacana Methodist Church and Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a retired beautician. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jace Porter Floyd, Jr.; a son, James Floyd, sister, Ruby Zell Bolen; and brother, W. A. (Billy) Phillips. She is survived by her son: Jace Porter Floyd III and Scarlet Rogers of Tehuacana, Grandchildren: Candace Allece Floyd and Corey Griffin of Lake Mexia; Wil Jason And Jerri Floyd of Forest Glade, and Carlton Bounds Floyd and Rikki Smith of Tehuacana; great grandchildren: Kasey, Jacob, Hayden, Chanie, Blake, Leightyn Allie and Jarrett; and sister, Jo Beth Bass of Grand Saline.
