Kathy was born August 30, 1955 in Dallas, Texas to Denver and Dorothy Davis. She married Jerry Lynn Watson on August 14, 1972, they shared 48 wonderful years together until his death in 2020. Kathy and Jerry were blessed with four children, Christie, Jerry, Jr., John Davis, and Monica.
Kathy’s life revolved around her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Although she spent most of time taking care of her family, she did work in the school cafeteria for Fairfield ISD for several years. There was nothing that made her happier than being a grandmother; Nana, as she was affectionally known, loved and cherished each, and every one of her grandchildren and they, too, loved her dearly. Any time they needed her, Nana was always there; she would drop everything else to take care of them. Kathy also had three four legged babies, puppies, Prince, Dolly, and Prissy.
Jerry’s job required traveling and Kathy would go with him when she wasn’t working or busy helping the family. In the last years of her life, she enjoyed visiting with family and friends and she managed to go on two cruises. She lived her life exactly as she wanted.
Kathy will forever be missed and remembered as the best Mom and Nana, ever!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Watson; Baby John Davis Watson (son, born sleeping); father, Denver Davis; and brother, Bobby Davis.
