After graduating from Mexia High School in 1965, Kay attended Navarro Jr. College and Stephen F. Austin University, where she received her Masters Degree in Education.
After settling in Nacogdoches, she married David Mohundro in 1985. Prior to retirement, Kay’s 30 year career as a teacher was primarily spent teaching and helping disabled and special needs children. She loved to cook and was a talented artist.
Kay was a beautiful, caring person whose love and friendship will be missed by all who knew her.
There will be a second memorial service held for Kay at her home in Nacogdoches, at a later date, to allow those who knew her and loved her in Nacogdoches for many years to honor her as well.
