Landereth Charnell Freeman, 72, of Mexia, passed away April 29, 2013 in Teague, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Friday, May 3, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Kory Koch and Mr. Jan Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Landereth was born April 2, 1941 in Gorman, TX to William Sterling and Veta Juanita Murray Brown. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Texas Wesleyan University. Landereth married Billy G. Freeman in Fort Worth, Texas on September 5, 1965. She taught school in the Mexia ISD for 10 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, reading and painting. However, her favorite and most treasured time was spent with her granddaughters. Landereth's love and devotion to her family was evident to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, William S. Brown. Landereth is survived by her husband, Billy Freeman of Mexia; two daughters, Karen Harrison and husband, Walt of Mexia and Kristina Brunson and husband, Jason of Hilltop Lakes; two granddaughters, Emma Jewel Brunson and Lucy Kate Harrison; mother Veta Brown of White Settlement, TX; and brother, Dwayne Brown of White Settlement, TX. Pallbearers will be Walt Harrison, Jason Brunson, Michael Yarbrough, Stan Speights, Steve Speights and Hal Speights.
