Larry Duwain Bell, 74, of McGregor, passed away at his home December 27, 2014. Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Mexia with Pastor Rebecca Hull officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Larry was born July 5, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to Samuel Duwain and Pearl Lois Campbell Bell. He graduated from Mexia High School in 1958. Larry retired from A & P Grocery Stores, after having worked in Mexia and Louisiana. Then he went to work for Killeen IGA as Meat Market Manager and finally retired after eight years at Scholastic Book Fair. Larry was a dedicated employee who never complained about working long hours; willing to do whatever was ask of him to get the job done. Being with family was the highlight of his life. He enjoyed family vacations, family gatherings where he did most of the cooking, camping, being outdoors and watching old westerns on TV. He especially loved being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and attending the activities in which they participated. He was a member of Woodway United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Stephanie Bell; and sister, Shirley Bell. Larry is survived by his wife, Linda of McGregor; children, Tammie Greenwood of Waco, Larry Bell, Jr. of Bruceville and Becky Bell of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jennifer Lewis, Kristie Sanpat, John and Sara Bell and Christopher and Rachael Greenwood; great-grandchildren, Haley, Alijah and Amiyah Bell, Jada Killings, Madison Deiterman, Morgan and Kaden Bell; sister, Marie Sims of NM; and brother, Mike Bell of Mexia. Pallbearers will be David Greenwood, Christopher Greenwood, Brandon Lewis, Alijah Bell, John Bell and Larry Bell, Jr.
