Lavonda McClintock passed away February 28, 2017 in Hewitt, Texas at the age of 78. Graveside services will be 11 AM, Friday, March 3, 2017 in the Mexia Cemetery with Rev. Ben Pomales officiating. Visitation with the family will be 9 - 10:30 AM, Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Lavonda was born March 2, 1938 in Limestone County, Texas to Curtis Lee and Vada Vassar Wells. She married Tommy Franklin McClintock on June 21, 1957 in Pasadena, Texas and they were blessed with one son, Tommy, Jr. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially, her precious grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. Lavonda enjoyed working in the yard, reading, making ceramics, painting and spending time on the Texas coast. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hewitt. She was preceded in death by her parents. Lavonda is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Tommy McClintock of Hewitt; son, Tommy McClintock, Jr. and wife, Heather of Riesel; grandchildren, Mattie McClintock of Austin, Catherine "Cate" McClintock and William "Will" McClintock both of Riesel; and sister, Paula Isacson of Pasadena.
