Linda Morton

Mrs. Linda Carol Lumpkin Morton, 66, of Fairoaks passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 in Waco. Linda was born September 25, 1948 in Lufkin to James Aubry and Mildred Alice Lumpkin. She graduated from Livingston High School, Tyler Jr. College and Texas Eastern School of Nursing. After nursing school, she pursued her love of nursing for over forty years, touching the lives of so many over that period of time. Linda was truly blessed with many talents which included needlework, artistic abilities and a real knack for photography. Photography was her main hobby for the last ten years. The order of the Eastern Star was extremely important to Linda. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Corsicana and Fairfield Chapters. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Daniel Wayne Stone. She is survived by her husband, Don Morton; children, Steven Ray Morton and wife, Becky, Gary Don Morton and Georgia Ann Shelby and husband, Donnie; daughter-in-law, Paula Burke Bozeman; grandchildren, Alisha Carol Stone, Shelbi Jade Stone, Beau Shelby and Kathryn Shelby; great grandchildren, Preston Lynn Stone and Keilan Daniel Stone. She is further survived by her sister, Jami Lumpkin Alexander and husband, Brent and niece, Aubri Ann Alexander. Graveside services will be 11 AM, Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Oakes Cemetery with Eastern Star graveside rites. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Livingston High School Alumni Association or the charity of your choice.
