Linda Slauson

Linda Marion Slauson, 54, of Thornton, passed away September 12, 2013 at her home in Thornton. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Cobb Cemetery with Rev. Steve Nance officiating. Visitation with the family will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel in Thornton. Linda was born November 29, 1958 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Bill and Jackie Flipp Marion. She was a self-employed building contractor for 20 years. Linda married Happy Slauson on January 3, 1996 in Thornton, Texas. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, painting and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Marion. Linda is survived by her husband, Happy Slauson of Thornton; children, Chad D. Hendley, Kurtis Shane Hendley, Melissa Slauson Hignett and Wesley Charles Turnbow Slauson; grandchildren, Shae Tyler Hendley, Taylee BreAnne Hendley, Rosa Lanora Faye Pouge, Cayson Dwayne Hendley, Jadon Kyle Hendley, Dylin Carter, Foster Pruitt, Jordyn Anthony Barrientos, Zack Hendley, Tuff Hendley, Maverick Headley, Rowdy Hendley, and Zane Ripley; mother, Jackie Marion; sisters, Bonnie Cravey and Sandy Cravey; brother, Wayne Marion; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Rick Ivie, Jason Marion, Will Cravey, Rick Cravey, Art Allen, Michael Carter.
