Lois Mae Horn, 79, of Groesbeck passed away January 31, 2012 in Groesbeck. Funeral services will be 2PM, Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Bro. Leroy Elmore officiating. Interment will follow in the Lost Prairie Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Lois was born May 19, 1932 in Farrar, Texas to Willard and Lizzie Beth Lummus Willard. She worked at the Mexia Textile Mill for eight years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. The time she spent with her family was most precious to her. Lois enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and refinishing antiques to sell. She was a member of Groesbeck Assembly of God church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Paxton Horn, Sr.; and daughter, Sandra Kay Horn Chapman. Lois is survived by her son, John Paxton Horn, Jr. of Groesbeck; granddaughter, Christina Ray and husband, Rodney of Groesbeck; great-grandc hildren, Lexus Vine and Brianna Ray of Groesbeck; brother, Elvis Tumlinson and wife, Carolyn of Livingston, TX; and sister, Mary Beth Owen and husband, Bill of Groesbeck. Pallbearers will be Rodney Ray, Miles Owen, Colby Owen, Matthew Owen, Kaleb Rosales and Tom Hirleman. Honorary pallbearers will be Dewayne Holder, Bill Owen, Alvin Chapman and Robert Allen. The family will have lunch at 11:30 a.m. at the Groesbeck Women's Club building. The building will be open from 9:00 a.m. until approx. 1:30 p.m. and again at 3:30 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come by and visit with the family.
