Graveside services for Lura Pauline Foley, 85 of Mexia will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2006 in Mexia Cemetery. Calvin Prowell will officiate with interment Following in Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with family will be 5 - 7 p.m. Wednesday at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Foley was born on August 24, 1921 in Tehuacana to A. C. and Ruby Thomas Carter and passed away on October 24, 2006 in Parkview Regional Hospital, Mexia. She was a retired charge at Mexia State School and a member of the Northcrest Church of Christ. She is survived by her daughter in law: Linda Foley Naff of Lufkin , special friend And caregiver, Myrtle Smith of Mexia; special friends: Calvin and Lillian Prowell, Inez Griffin and Ruby Lewis, all of Mexia, several nieces and nephews including Carolyn Britton of Taylor, Melvin Wallace and wife, Trudy of Angleton, James and Anita Foley of Mexia and cousins, Ada Bolen of Coolidge, Ruby Jewell Hodges Of Coolidge and Jewell and Maurice Hinchliffe of Lake Mexia, brother, Mike Thomas and wife Charley of Crockett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allison Foley in 1966, her son, Autry Allison Foley in 1976, brother and sisters, Herbert Carter in 1979, Irene Foley In 2000 and Ruby Fay Silvestri in 1991.
