Lynn Weeks

Lynn Roy Weeks "Mr. Lynn" 06/09/39-03/03/11 Lynn was born in Corsicana, Texas to Annie Mae & Willie Weeks. The Weeks family moved to Mexia in 1944 which became home. Lynn accepted Christ as his savior at the age of 11 at First Baptist Church of Mexia. Lynn was a member of the Mexia Black Cat football team, tennis & track team, & salutatorian of his 1957 graduating class. One of his proudest honors was achieving not only Eagle Scout but also The Order of the Arrow. He went on to get his BA from Southwestern University and his MA from Texas University in Geophysics. He worked for TI, Collins Radio in Dallas and retired from Schlumberger in Houston. He leaves to cherish his memory his son Kyle and wife Marjorie. His granddaughters Jennifer, Heather, Shannon and Courtney. His daughter Kristin. His sister Linda Weeks Marsh and brother-in-law Lloyd. Niece and nephews and their families: Traci & Glenn Stiles, Marshall & Madison of Bartonville, Todd & Lisa Marsh, Saben, Tabitha and Maggie Jo of Maypearl, & Trent & Allison Marsh and Mason of Fairview. He leaves precious pets Ming, Vesta, Moco and Abby. Lynn leaves precious friends from all corners of the world because of his travels, personal and business. A memorial service will be held at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia on Saturday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. Private burial for family will be at the Mexia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers he had requested donations be made to The American Cancer Society, The Salvation Army or a charity of your choice.
