Tommy Marcus “Marc” Roberson went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2024 surrounded by his dear wife and children.
Marc was born in Mexia on April 19, 1958 to Tommy Roberson and Lois Wakefield Roberson where he lived all of his life. He was proud to be a Blackcat.
On August 3, 1985 Marc was united in marriage to Clara Lowry in McKinney, Texas. They recently celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary.
Marc began working as a teenager, volunteering for the Mexia Fire Department and working at the Mexia Daily News. He was later employed as a firefighter and EMT at Mexia Fire Department. He was a commercial truck driver for K-Mart, Sherwin-Williams, Basic Energy, and various local companies.
Woodworking was one of Marc’s favorite hobbies. He enjoyed making outdoor furniture and toy boxes for his grandchildren and friends. Marc also had a love for chasing storms. He was always ready to play Farkle and Chickenfoot. According to Marc, he always won however his family has a different story.
Marc is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Elmer & Lucille Cox; father, Tommy Roberson; and brother, Brent Roberson.
Marc leaves behind his loving wife Clara as well as his 4 children: Mikki Riffenburg (Bobby) of Fairfield; Amanda Howard of Mexia; Christina Stout (Lucas) of Arlington: John Marc Roberson of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by his mother, Lois Armenta, of Temple; sister- and brother-in-law, Freda & Dan Kendall of Allen; sister-in-law, Cathi Coon of Temple. Marc was blessed to be “Pops” to five grandchildren: Madison Akers, Jackson Howard, Charlee Riffenburg, Finley Stout and Bowen Stout.
Visitation will take place at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia, Texas on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 5-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Mexia on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 2:00pm. Interment will follow at the Mexia Cemetery.
Pallbearers are John Marc Roberson, Lucas Stout, Bobby Riffenburg, Jackson Howard, Steven Gore and Dan Kendall.
