Marilyn Wells

Marilyn Lee Wells, 84, of Huntington, W. V. passed away Sunday September 18, 2005 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Rodney Hale. Burial will be in Mexia Cemetery, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday September 28, 2005. Rev. Michael Vestal, Pastor of Temple Baptist Church will officiate at graveside services. She was born in Mexia on May 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Marcus Lee and Laura J. Cromartie McDonald. She was a housewife and mother to her family until the day she passed away. Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ceredo where she had been an active member since 1964. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of more than fifty years, Phillip Clapp Wells; an infant son, Donald Ray Wells, two brothers and two sisters. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law: Michael and Donna Wells of Oak Hill, VA and Gordon and Carolyn Wells of Vienna, WV; four grandchildren and two spouses Kristin and Michael Smith of Great Falls, VA, Jeffrey and Andrea Wells of Yorktown, VA; Elizabeth Stubbe of Parkersburg, WV and Phillip Wells of New Marshfield, OH; five great-grandchildren Kendall Smith, Alison Wells, Luke Wells, Annika Wells and Faith Wells and two brothers: Dwain Harris of Corpus Christi, TX and Marcus McDonald of Lexington, KY.
