Mary Miller

Mary Elrose Miller, of Mexia, passed away May 28, 2013 at her residence. A memorial service will be 3PM, Friday, May 31, 2013 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Elrose was born to Jack and Dorothy Faye West Carlson on March 20, 1968 in Teague, Texas. She married Billy Miller on July 15, 1984 in Tyler, Texas. She was an employee of the Mexia ISD for 17 years. Elrose had a wonderful personality and always had a big smile. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. It was most important to her that she attend every function or activity in which they participated. Elrose was devoted not only to her grandchildren, but her entire family. She was preceded in death by her mother; and son, Brett Miller. She is survived by her husband, Billy Miller; children, Brian Miller and Candace Winstead; granddaughters, Riley and Gracie Winstead; father, Jack Carlson; brother, Jack L. Carlson; and sister, Carolyn Crook; and a number of nieces and nephews.
