Merle Bounds

Funeral services for Mrs. Merle Godfrey Bounds, 91, of Tehuacana will be 10 am Monday, September 18, 2006, in Tehuacana United Methodist Church. Rev. Michael Redmond, pastor of the church and Rev. Brad Brittain will officiate with interment to follow in the Tehuacana Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Sunday at Blair - Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Mrs. Bounds was born July 19, 1915, in Crandall, Texas, to Martha and J. W. Godfrey and passed away at her residence on September 15, 2006. She was a retired bookkeeper from the Chevrolet Auto Co. in Huntsville, Texas, and was a member of the Tehuacana United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha and J.W. Godfrey; husband, Floyd Bounds; daughter, Bette Sanders and granddaughter, Pamela Sanders. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Jacobs and husband David of Tehuacana; grandchildren, Joel Ferris and wife Cindy of San Antonio, Bill Ferris and wife Linda of Tehuacana, Joy Wooters and husband Mike of Stewartstown, PA, and Charles Christopher Ferris of Tehuacana; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Joel Ferris, Bill Ferris, Chris Ferris, Mike Wooters, Jerry Chilcoat and Dave Chilcoat.
