Michael Frank Jordan, 75, passed away September 1, 2014 at his home near Thornton, Texas. He was born on August 1, 1939 in Houston, Texas to Frank Nelson and Margaret I. Killinger Jordan. He retired, after working as an electrician for many years on a test site in Nevada. Michael also worked for The Wink, a family owned Bar-B-Q business. Working and providing for his family was an important way of life for him. He loved his wife, children and those "special" grandchildren. Michael proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. When the opportunity permitted, Michael enjoyed fishing with his friends and hunting with his sons and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Tony Lena. Michael is survived by his wife, Barbara Jordan of Thornton; children, Cynthia J. Pate and husband, Jeff of Thornton, Eric Lena of Magnolia, Michelle Vargas and husband, John of Houston and Michael Jordan, II of Thornton; grandchildren, Celesta Ahrlett, Barbara Davis, Hudson and Kyle Tansey, Austin, Bo and David Jordan, Emily Lena, Todd, Samantha and Monica Lena; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Gayle Boing of Houston. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on September 20, 2014 at the Kosse Community Center, 200 W. Adams (Highway 14), Kosse, TX 76653.
