Miguel Ortiz

Miguel Ortiz passed away March 3, 2020 in Georgetown, Texas at the age of 61. Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2020 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Pius T. Mathew officiating.

Miguel was born in San Miguel, Mexico on September 29, 1958 to Miguel Ortiz and Ignacia Villafranco. He worked for many years in a stone quarry.

Miguel was very outgoing, made friends easily and had a comical sense of humor. He loved his children and talking about them was his favorite subject; he was very proud of all of them. He enjoyed hunting, hunting for treasures and riding around on his bike. Miguel's love for his home in Mexico remained in his heart forever. Taking vacations to Mexico was one of the most important things to him, he looked forward to each trip.

Miguel's death was a surprise to everyone, however, they have found comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his parents and brother. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Ignacia Ortiz; and brother, Alfredo Ortiz.

Miguel is survived by his daughters, Celia Guadalupe, Rosa Beatriz and Andrea Alexandra; sons, Vicente Ortiz and Jesus Alberto; brothers, Juan Ortiz of McKinney and Vicente Ortiz of Coolidge; sisters, Alicia of Mexico, Reyna of Mexico, Carmen of McKinney and Rosalinda of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
