Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Wright, 84 of Mexia will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2005 in First United Methodist Church in Mexia. Dr. Max Burkhead will officiate with interment to follow in Mexia Cemetery. Mrs. Wright was born April 9, 1921 in Mexia and passed away on November 12 in Grapevine. She taught for 42 years in public schools, most of time in Coolidge and Mexia. She received her bachelor degree from Texas State College for Women. She loved her teaching career and was very active in Retired Teachers Association. She was also very loyal to her church, the Dorcus Sunday School Class and the Mexia Schools. She was a former member of the Mexia Garden Club. She is survived by her daughter and son in law: Annella and Dick Didier of Colleyville; Grandson, Matthew Didier of Colleyville; Brother: Roland Aycock of San Antonio, Sisters in law: Ann Aycock Posey of Tyler, Laverne Green of Palestine and Carmen Wright of Clarendon; Niece: Carol Ann Peoples of Baytown; and nephews: Douglas Aycock and wife, Vicki; Steve Aycock and wife, Cheryl and Terry Aycock and wife, Kay. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Ella Cogdell Aycock, her Husband, Thompson Wright in 1948; her brother, Richard E. (Laddie) Aycock And a sister in law: Vivian Aycock. Pallbearers will be George Tidwell, Walter Jackson, Bob Crider, Terry Don Shivers, and James Dawley.
