Minnie Terry

Minnie Modene Terry, 94, of Conoe, passed away October 29, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2013 in the Mexia Cemetery with Mr. Larry Cone, Jr. officiating.. Modene was born June 2, 1919 in Corsicana, Texas to Paul P. and Octie W. Scott Wallace. She married Chester Lee Terry in 1939. She was a hard worker, while being a dedicated wife and mother; she also worked as a waitress for the majority of her life. Modene had a green thumb when it came to growing plants, which she loved to do. She enjoyed doing ceramics, knitting, crocheting and a cup of coffee while visiting with friends. She was known for making good pies and superb enchiladas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester; sons, Paul Lee and Edwin Terry; sisters, Doris Norwood and Joyce Tinnin; and brothers, Harme and Thadis Wallace. Modene is survived by her daughter, Frances Cone and husband, Larry of Conroe; grandchildren, Larry Delano Cone, Jr., Vance Lee Cone, Vanessa Lou Cone, Brian Terry, Edwin Terry, Paula Terry and Lee Ann Terry; 11 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great.
