Muzette Hartnett, 93, of Mexia passed away October 12, 2012 in Burleson, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Monday, October 15, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Kory Koch officiating. Interment will follow in the Thornton Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from Noon until service time on Monday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Muzette was born July 1, 1919 at Mills Creek (in Limestone County), Texas to Elmer and Ethel Vinsant Rhodes. She had been a resident of Limestone County for most of her life. She was a manager of Goodwill for many years, also manager of a number of restaurants in Mexia. Muzette was very active in the Rebekkah Lodge and served as a past Grand Noble. She was very outgoing and enjoyed being around people. Her family was her pride and joy; she loved nothing better than family gatherings. Muzette was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe C. Hartnett; daughter, JoAnn Hinchliffe; brother, Elmer Rhodes; sisters, Mary Soukup and Juanita Robinson. Muzette is survived by her daughter, Rita Faye Weaver and husband, Winston of Portland, OR; son, Jack Hartnett and wife, Vicki of Burleson; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and brother, Kelton Rhodes of Dallas.
