Nicholas "Nick" Don Lawless, 22, of Mexia passed away July 2, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be 11AM, Friday, July 6, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Mrs. Rita Burleson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Nick was born January 22, 1990 in Mexia, Texas to Shannon Don Lawless and Michelle Lee Taylor Lawless. He had recently gone to work at the coal mine in Kosse. His most treasured possession was his daughter, Lannie. Nick was a loving father, son, and brother; as well as devoted to the love of his life, Brooke D. Thompson, Lannie's mother. He was also known to many by his signature name "N-Do". Nick's hobbies were fishing, skateboarding (loved the DC logo), TV, especially the history channel, eating and sports. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Betty Lee Rinderknecht and Noah L. "Buddy" Taylor; paternal great-grandfather, Billy Ray Henry; and two aunts, Glenda Mulkey and Linda Chapman. Nick is survived by his father, Shannon Lawless; mother, Michelle Lawless; daughter, Lannie Leighann Lawless; companion, Brooke Delynn Thompson; sister, Jordon Lee Lawless; grandmother, Virginia Aills; great-grandmother, Maggie Henry; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Pallbearers will be Eric Sterling, Jimmy Henderson, Cory Henderson, Steven Starnes, Gary Henderson and Tyler Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley "B.G." Hicks, Lance Bell, Jason "Red" Sterling, Ian Newsom, Eric Bowers and Barry Taylor.
