Nora Elia Amaya, 47, of Mexia, passed away October 30, 2014 from injuries received in an auto accident. Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m., Monday, November 3, 2014 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Justin Ngugen officiating. Interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery. Visitation and Rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Nora was born April 11, 1967 in Piedras Negras Coahuila, Mexico to Jose Federico Torres and Maria Louisa Rodriquez. She was employed by Carry On Trailer Corporation. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Nora was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents. Nora is survived by her husband, Juan Amaya of Mexia; two sons, Mark Torres of Haskell and Carlos Juarez of Mexia; three daughters, Gabriela Garcia, Amy Arredondo and husband, Freddie Williams and Jocelyn Amaya all of Mexia; six grandchildren, Darian Garcia, Emily Arredondo, Aubrey Arredondo, Evan Garcia, Domanick Juarez and Alexzandra Juarez; three sisters, Dora Martha Torres of Grand Prairie, Ana Torres of Louisiana and Laura Patricia Ortiz of San Antonio; and three brothers, Jose Federico Torres of Mexia, Miguel Angel Meza and Luis Alfonzo Meza both of San Antonio. Pallbearers will be Freddie Williams, Edward Torres, Roberto Torres, Luis Carlos Garcia, David Torres, Michael Torres, Darian Garcia and Jesse Torres.
