Norman was born January 17, 1942 in Coolidge, Texas to William Henry and Sarah Lucinda (Johnson) Furlow. He has been a resident of Limestone County his entire life. Norman married his lifelong partner, Sue James on June 25, 1960 in Mexia, Texas. He retired from Fibrix (formerly Hobbs Fibers) after 30 plus years of service as a machinist.

Norman lived his life serving the Lord, loving his family, and he treated always everyone the way he wanted to be treated. He was a longtime active member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. Although he loved, and enjoyed spending time with all his family, Norman’s time with the grandchildren and great grandchildren was the highlight of his life, just as it was for them.

Norman loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting deer with a bow as well as a rifle, however, he loved eating the venison even more. He also enjoyed fishing for bass and camping. Norman and Sue enjoyed traveling, especially with their RV. They loved working summers at Thousand Trails Park in Whitney, TX where they had the opportunity to make many new friends over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Furlow; son, Brandon Furlow; sisters, Martha Mueck and Retha Bass; and brother, W. F. Furlow.

Norman is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sue Furlow; daughter, Robin Hawkins and husband, James and their children, Heath Hawkins and wife, Jaque and Chase Hawkins; daughter, Missy Condon and husband, Clinton and their children, Jennifer Farst and husband, J. D. and Jaime Smith and husband, Blake; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Malacara and husband, Miguel, Kole Hawkins, Landon Hawkins, Luke Smith, Jake Smith, Eva Smith, Ryker Farst, Harper Farst, and Lainie Farst.
