Omer Newton Clark

Mr. Omer Newton Clark of Mexia, passed away at the age of 70 on January 5, 2025 due to a fire at his home. He was born June 21, 1954 to Don Clark and Ruth Chasten in Paris, Texas. He graduated from Amarillo High School. He retired as a Security Guard from the Llano Cemetery several years ago. 

Omer was passionate about riding motocycles with Harley's being his favorite.  He also enjoyed having pets. One of his favorite dogs was an American Pit named, Assonine.  He thought that he was his true companion until his current wife, Elizabeth and he started dating.  Apparently, Assonine liked her much better than Omer and he chose her to be his companion rather than Omer.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Sandra (Walker) Clark.  Survivors are his wife Elizabeth (Gamble) Clark, children Billie Chasten and Quinten Cobb; nephews, but more like sons, Bobby Bruce and Nicolas Mayeux; and a grandchild Candance Cobb and 13 siblings. 

The family is planning a service at a later date.
