Orie Johnson

Orie Johnson, 88, of Mexia passed away Feb. 16, 2012 in Mexia. Funeral services will be 11AM, Monday, February 20, 2012 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel with Rev. Harvey Hallmark officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery near Centerville, Texas. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday. Orie was born August 8, 1923 in Madison County, Texas to Almor and Elizabeth Davis Hall. She retired from the Mexia State School Food Service Department after 19 years of service. She was very devoted to caring for her family. Orie's love for God was evident in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim Bill Johnson; daughter, Gloria Decker; grandson, Kim Carter; and seven siblings. Survivors include two grandchildren, Chad Carter and Jamie Baker; three great-grandsons, Keith Carter, Nathan Medina and William Baker; two great-great-granddaughters, Gracie and Riley Carter. Pallbearers will be Kevin Baker, Nathan Medina, Keith Carter, Raymond Peters, Shorty Remier and Steve Decker.
