Orville "Red" Timberlake, 87, passed away September 20, 2013 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the Mexia Cemetery with Chaplain Paul Reedy and Rev. Todd Tanner officiating. Visitation with the family will be 1:30-2:30, Sunday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia. Red was born October 9, 1925 in Mexia, Texas to George Washington and Cora Mae Graham Timberlake. He worked for Beene Motor Sales, and formerly Ferguson's Chevrolet, for 32 years. Then he owned and operated Timberlake Paint & Body Shop from1983 until he retired in 2005. Red was an avid RV'er and member of the Thousand Trails Club in Lake Whitney, one of his favorite locations. He and Rosie toured several states during their travels together; they also shared a love for dancing. Red also served his country in the U. S. Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Vernice Timberlake. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosie Timberlake of Ft. Worth; daughters, Sharon Wilson and husband, Johnny of Groesbeck and Rona Stanford and husband, Robert of Ft. Worth; son, Orville Ray Timberlake and wife, Teresa of Temple; grandchildren, Clinton Wade Wilson and wife, Krystal of Waco, Walton Clay Wilson of Stafford, Sara Trevino of Temple, Wade Timberlake of Temple, Brian Stanford of Ft. Worth and Brandy Stanford of Austin; great-grandchildren, Grady and Maggie Wilson and Gabriella Trevino; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Kuyava of Phoenix, AZ. His family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Quang Le, Dr. Armour, Dr. Khamarr, Dr. Osafo, Dr. Nguyen, the nurses of Odyssey Hospice and Plaza CCICU for their special care . In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Odyssey Hospice or a charity of choice.
