Patsy Carol Sims, 68, of Tehuacana passed away January 19, 2011 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church with Rev. David Bolden officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Trevat Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Carol was born February 21, 1942 in Lovelady, Texas to Aubie Atmar Nash and Doris M. (Smith) Taylor. She retired as a sales rep for Southwestern Bell Telephone after 33 years of service. Her love for the Lord and her family was evident in her life. Carol's favorite time was spent with her family. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Aubie Atmar Nash. Carol is survived by her mother, Doris Taylor of Tehuacana; sons, Kenneth Max Putnam and wife, Christy of Goldthwaite and Michael Lynn Sims, Sr. and wife, Kimberly of Cleveland; grandchildren, Blake, Emily and Zachary Putnam, Mason and Ryder Clegg, Michael Sims, Jr., Kody, Skylar, Destiny and Hazel-Jean Sims; brother, Lynn Nash and wife, Debbie of Coolidge; sisters, Delora Robertson and husband, Ray of Tehuacana and Jackie Powell of Clear Lake; step-sisters and brothers, Mrs. Ernestine Smith of Houston, Mrs. Naomi Snodgrass of Bryan, Mr. Charles Taylor of Old Spring, Mrs. Joy Bartay and husband, Tandy of San Antonio and Mrs. Margie Williams and husband, Clint of Canton, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ray Robertson, Jr., Ronnie Robertson, Eddie Dillard, Jeffery Nash, Josh Moran and Donnie Robertson. Honorary pallbearer will be Aubie "Scooter" Nash.
