Peggy Jo Leininger, 78, passed away at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital on June 18, 2019. She was a beautiful loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. No one was a stranger to her..

Peggy was born in Groesbeck, TX on October 10, 1940. She was preceded in death by her parents William Bobie and Debbie Alice Azbell; her brothers Derrel Azbell, Douglas Azbell, William Bobie Azbell, Jr.; sister Alice Buzbee, nephew Michael Buzbee and daughter Kimberly Azbell Rodriguez

She is survived by her son Norman S. Rodriguez and wife Laurie, niece Kathy Shingleton and husband Michael, and 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan and Kaitlynn and many friends

Peggy was a homemaker, who also had a passion for being a health care provider for the elderly for 11 years and held a second job at Kroger for 8 years, retiring in 2002. She spent her retirement years cooking, gardening and visiting with her friends, which she truly loved.

Visitation with the family will be, prior to the service beginning at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24th at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Mexia, Texas. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Mexia Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
