Mrs. Quintilla Currey Wilson, 95, of Mexia passed away Aug. 4, 2007 at the Windsor Nursing Home in Groesbeck. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home, 605 South McKinney in Mexia, followed by interment at Faulkenberry Cemetery in Groesbeck. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Tuesday at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Mrs. Wilson was born August 23, 1911 in the Beulah Community. She grew up in Groesbeck, married Claude Wilson in 1934, moving to Mexia in 1946. She was a beautician and a member of Temple Baptist Church and Rebekah Lodge #190 (Order of the Eastern Star). Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Jackson Wilson, her parents Chesley A. and Louie P. Currey of Groesbeck, brothers Albert and Cecil Currey and sisters Oleta Currey Stewart and Theda Currey Gattis. Survivors include a sister Magnolia Burnett of Yoakum, as well as Beulah Currey Sunday of Mexia, Betty Currey Hammock of Marquez, Chessie Stewart of San Antonio, and many nieces, nephews and great nieces.
