Graveside services for Rebecca Jane Hicks, 40, of Kingwood, Texas were held on December 5, 2024, at Cobb Cemetery. Richard Williams, preacher for the Groesbeck Church of Christ, officiated.
Rebecca was born on September 8, 1984, in Alexandria, Louisiana to Carlton James Hicks and Sharon Gregory Hicks and went to her temporary rest from this world on December 1, 2024. Rebecca attended Karr Magnet School in New Orleans, Louisiana and graduated with honors from Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She earned an associate degree from Lone Star College. Rebecca was an active and beloved member of Lake Houston Church of Christ in Atascocita, Texas, teaching the Cradle Roll and other classes, and participating as a facilitator in the World Bible Study on-program. She fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith, and is now awaiting the crown of righteousness which the Lord will award her on that day.
Rebecca is survived by her mother, her sister, Parrish Hicks Capers, her niece, Paityn Capers, and nephews, Jordan Capers and Madden Capers, all of Kingwood, Texas.
