Funeral services for Richard Lowell Williams, 62, of Pt. Enterprise will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 29, 2008 in Blair - Stubbs Chapel. Rev. Marcus Sheffield, pastor of the First Baptist Church will officiate, with interment to follow in the Pt. Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday night at the funeral home. Mr. Williams was born January 2, 1946 in Mexia to Harvey and Alta Lucille (Day) Williams and passed away on February 26, 2008 at his residence. He was a welding contractor, a member of the First Baptist Church in Mexia, and served in the U. S. Navy from 1963- 1967, a Vietman Veteran. He loved his family very much. He is survived by his daughter, Mandy Foley of Denver, Colorado, son and daughter in law, Jason and Tina Williams of Fairfield, grandchildren, Natalie Foley and Brady Williams, brothers, Harvey D. Williams and wife, Jane of Mexia and Louis Edward (Louie) Williams and wife, Patty of Corsicana, number of nieces and nephews and cousins. Pallbearers will be Billy Blanchard, Don Archibald, Ronnie Carter, Paul Yeldell, Bob Crider, Walter Van de Weghe, and honorary pallbearers, Steve Fletcher, Bob Jackson, Wilmer Herring and Lester Rae Henderson. The family wishes to express gratitude to the Pt. Enterprise Baptist Church for their loving support and friendship of Richard.
