Richmond Carroll Curry, Jr. 88, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2017, at his home in Teague. Richmond was born July 12, 1928 in Teague, Texas to Richmond Carroll Curry, Sr. and Ora Glanton Curry. While serving his country in the US. Air Force, he received his diploma from Teague High School. He was a painter, owner of a warehouse carpet business in Mexia, Teague and Fairfield and, also, owner of a radiator and small engine repair shop, prior to retirement; he was known around town as "The Radiator Man". Richmond married his lifelong partner, Betty Jane Isham on May 12, 1949 in Teague, Texas. They were blessed with three children, Cathy, Cindy and Richmond, III. His family was his pride and joy, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker, however, working was what he enjoyed. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Curry; son, Richmond Curry, III; and sisters, Joan Curry and Mildred P. Curry. Richmond is survived by his daughters, Cathy C. Itchue and Cindy A. Smith, both of Teague, grandchildren, Mechelle Robertson Cox, Michael Robertson, Colleen Robertson, Neal Robertson, T.J. McNett, Benny McNett, Mikey Smith, Angie, Robin and Richmond IV Curry. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
