Ricky Lee Walters

Ricky Lee Walters, of Wortham, passed away on April 12, 2023 in Waco, Texas at the age of 65.  Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home with Brother Justin Lee officiating.

Ricky was born February 1, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Clarence R. and Norma (Bell) Walters, one of four boys.  Although he had many skills, his primary job was installing carpet.  Prior to his brother, Gary’s death in April 2021, they worked together in the business for 35 years.  He and Gary were not only brothers and business partners, but also best friends.  Ricky was a hard worker, he could, and would, tackle most any kind of job and if he didn’t know how to do something, he wouldn’t quit until figured it out.  He didn’t like to be idle, he had to be busy doing something.

Ricky was friendly, easy-going, never met a stranger, and enjoyed helping people, even if he didn’t know them.  Outside of work, he didn’t have much time for hobbies, however, he was a Dallas Cowboy fan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Norma Walters; and brother, Gary Walter.

Ricky is survived by three children, Brandi Witt, Leslie Cass, and Lee Walters; two brothers, Randy Walters and wife, Linda of Wortham and Mark Walters and wife, Robin of Waxahachie; and several nieces and nephews.
