Ronnie Reeder

Ronnie R. Reeder, 63, of Thornton passed away June 15, 2008 at Providence Hospital in Waco after a brave fight with end stage renal failure. Mr. Reeder was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on April 10, 1945 to Fred and Paula (Myler) Reeder. He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. After serving his country, he worked for the Department of Defense in Corpus Christi as an engineering technician for 20 years. Following his retirement, he made his home in Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Jo VanderVoort Reeder of Thornton; son, Greg and wife, Eve Witt of Corpus Christi; daughter, Toni and husband, Mike Baches of Sugarland; grandchildren, Taylor and Alexa Baches of Sugarland; brothers, James Testerman of Corpus Christi and Wayne and, wife, Alma Testerman of Laredo. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Becky Scott of Corpus Christi. It was Mr. Reeder's wish was to be cremated. In honor of his memory, donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation.
