Sarah Douglas

Sarah Juanita Douglas, 77, passed away September 29, 2011 in Mexia, Texas. Funeral services will be 2PM, Sunday, October 2, 2011 at Blair-Stubbs Chapel. Interment will follow in the Prairie Grove Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5-7PM, Saturday, at the funeral home. Juanita was born September 14, 1934 in Mexia, Texas to Clifton D. and Ruby Holt Williams. She worked for Cen-Tex ARC for three years and Brookshire's for twelve years. She helped her husband on their farm and raised her sons prior to entering the workforce. Juanita was devoted to her family. She had a very outgoing and caring personality, which made her so suitable for delivering medicine for Brookshire's Pharmacy. Her love for God, family and friends was very evident in her life. She was a member of the United Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband John "Junior" Douglas. Juanita is survived by two sons, John Michael Douglas and wife, Linda of Corsicana and James David Douglas of Mexia; grandchildren, Jonathan Wade Douglas and wife, Aspen, Jacob Ross Douglas and Jordan Ryan Douglas; brother, Jimmy Joe Williams of Jasper, Tx.; and sister, Maxine Jones of Channelview.
