Sherrie Stone

Sherrie Lynn Stone, 72, passed away June 9, 2019 at her home in Thornton. She was born February 24, 1947 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Harold and Opal Doney. She married Ray Stone on August 28, 1971 and they were blessed with one daughter, Ginger.

Sherrie's world revolved around her family. She was happy being a stay at home wife and mother and maintaining her home. She enjoyed crocheting and being creative with plastic canvas making all types of crafts, especially, Christmas stockings and ornaments for everyone. Sherrie was also a sports fan of the Houston Astros, Rockets (all Houston sports teams), a Texas fan, New York Yankees and the Baylor Bears' teams.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Harold Doney; mother, Opal Brister husband, Ray Stone; step-father, Wallace Brister; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sherrie is survived by her loving daughter, Ginger Danz; mother, Opal Brister; brother, Harold Doney and wife, Betty; nephew, Robert Sanders and wife, Jackie; nieces, Kim Westermann, Jennifer Gatilin and husband, Stephen; great nephews, Christian and Xaiver Sanders; great nieces, Engelica Peet, Kaylea and Olivia Gatilin; aunts, Dorothy Petitt, Eva McGhee and Fonetta Simmons.

There will be no public service.
