Sidney Bellard

Mr. Sidney J. Bellard, 58, of Farrar passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at his residence. Sidney was born August 7, 1952 in Eunice, Louisiana. He was a long haul truck driver before moving to Farrar twelve years ago to become involved in Ranching. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Houston. Sidney married Sandra Lynn Owen in 1982 in Groesbeck. He was preceded in death by his son, Ethan Cole. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Lynn, of Farrar, Daughter, Cassandra Joyce of Farrar, Brothers and Sisters, Michael Bellard of Splendora, Elaine Elhoummed of Houston, Betty Wadi of Houston, Charles Bellard of Houston, Shelia Bellard of Houston and Brenda Bellard of Houston. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at the Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home Chapel in Mexia with Father Benji Magnaye officiating. Interment will follow at the Wilson Chapel cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath Carroll, Dennis Strauss, Ray Thomas, Jeremy Owen, Gary Owen and Barry Owen. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Brown and Gordon Gilbert Owen. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
