Terry Platt

Terry Lee Platt passed away February 6, 2018 in Waco, Texas at the age of 59. A private family service will be held at a later date. Terry was born February 21, 1958 in Texas City, Texas to Herman Troy and Delia Ethel Redden Platt. He retired from Texas Department of Transportation after 30 years of service as an inspector. Terry's family was his pride and joy. He was a proud father of one son, James, and even prouder grandfather of three special grandchildren, Ali, Trent and Brantlee. Family was everything to him. Terry was a happy go lucky, free spirited kind of guy who never met a stranger. After retiring, he decided it was time to live the rest of his life to the fullest, and he did. He tried to spend each day having a good time and enjoying the things that made him happy. Terry loved to ride motorcycles and drag racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Delia Platt. Terry is survived by his loving son, James Platt and fiancé, Heather Miller of Groesbeck; grandchildren, Ali, Trent and Brantlee Platt; and brothers, Gene Platt and wife, Sue and Joe Platt and wife, Esther all of Groesbeck.
