Thelma Brown Eubanks, 97, passed away June 19, 2009 in Temple. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 25 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mexia with Rev. Marcus Sheffield officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. Thelma was born March 25, 1912 in Stephenville, Texas to Andy and Anna Lewis. She was a longtime resident of Mexia and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Tarleton State University. Thelma was a homemaker. She was a very devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Frederick Samuel Brown and George Lamar Eubanks; and her infant daughter, Barbara Jean Brown. Thelma is survived by her sons, Frederick Samuel Brown, Jr. and John Warren Brown; daughters, Linda Brown LeDuc and Jennifer Brown Thurman; sixteen grandchildren; and thirty great-grandchildren.
